About Me

David “B” Bernheim

My nickname is “B”. I graduated from UNC-Charlotte in 1983 with a BA in Education (K-12), and entered active service with the US Army. I began teaching high school upon completion of my tour of duty. English, Composition, Public Speaking, Theater, Forensics, and Technical Theater are the high school subjects I have taught most. I seemed to gravitate to the theater throughout the majority of my experiences. I taught Language Arts and Social Studies for one year at the middle school level. Most recently, I was a Strategies of Instruction teacher, Assistant Dean of Students, dorm parent, girls’ hockey coach and rock climbing instructor at The Forman School in Litchfield, CT. The Forman School is a 9-12 boarding school specifically targeting students who learn differently.
I developed competency with technology through my MET program to help me mentor teachers and students enhancing learning at all levels in all subject areas. I hope to return to the classroom and an administrative role upon completion of my postgraduate studies at BSU.
